LAS VEGAS, Nev. - The Mountain West conference announced the 2015-16 All-Conference team and individual awards for men's tennis earlier this evening in Las Vegas, Nev., as selected by the league's eight coaches.
Senior Nikolas Papic was named to the All-Mountain West singles team along with junior Euan McIntosh. Papic earned the top spot in the lineup during the last week of March. He has since gone 4-3 at No.1. He defeated then-No. 112 and 2015 MW Co-Conference Player of the Year, Freddy Gelbrich (6-3,6-3). McIntosh posted a 7-2 record in the team's last 10 matches. The junior's two losses during that span have come in a three-set match at Boise State while the other was against the then-No. 1 player in the country Dominik Koepfer of Tulane. McIntosh currently leads the team lead in overall victories with 16. This is McIntosh's second consecutive year being named to the All-MW singles team
Freshman Mantas Bugailiskis and McIntosh earned a spot on the All-MW doubles team. The two set the tone at the No. 1 doubles position for the Bulldogs, recording a 10-3 record this spring. On March 24, the two defeated No. 18 Chi-Shan Jao and Dominik Koepfer (Tulane), their highest ranked opponent of the spring. The two are currently ranked No. 79 and have been ranked as high as No. 62 (April 5).
