The Gaels are looking for their first road win of the season and their second overall as they travel to Fresno for the first time since Sept. 10, 2000, when St. Mary's squeezed by the Bulldogs 1-0. The Gaels' lone win this season came against then-No. 12 Cal in a 2-0 victory last Friday.
St. Mary's has had four different players score a goal this year and senior Julia McDonald has protected the net all season, recording 28 saves and a 1.21 goals-against average.
About Montana (4-2-1)
The Grizzlies are looking to rebound from a 1-0 loss to Gonzaga last Sunday as they wrap up their non-conference play at San Jose State on Friday before coming to Fresno on Sunday. Though Montana averages 1.14 goals per game, it allows only 0.71 goals per game.
Offensively, the Grizzlies are led by redshirt sophomore Hallie Widner's three goals and sophomore McKenzie Warren's two goals. On the defensive side, senior Kailey Norman has protected the net all year, owning a 0.69 goals-against average, including three shutouts, and recording 25 saves.
