Notes:
• Fresno State is set for its second tournament in as many weeks; the 'Dogs opened 2016 at the USF Olympic Invitational at the Olympic Club prior to this week's trip to the Ram Masters Invitational, hosted by Colorado State.
• Fresno State will travel the same group of five that participated at the USF Olympic Invitational.
• Excluding Colorado, who is not participating as a team, the Ram Masters Invitational field features four teams that ranked in the top 100 of the final 2015-16 Golfstat rankings. Wyoming (86) owns the top ranking and is followed by Colorado State (87), Fresno State (93) and Sacramento State (98).
• Trevor Clayton, who won the 2015-16 Mountain West Individual Championship and led the team with a 72.42 season scoring average, opened the 2016-17 season with a top 10 finish at the USF Olympic Invitational.
• In addition to Clayton, Justin Avery and Greg Gildea also placed in the top 20 at the USF Olympic Invitational.
• As a team, Fresno State tied for seventh place against the 15-team field.
• Clayton finished the USF Olympic Invitational 3-over-par (68-74-74=216). It was his fifth career top 10 finish in just 13 career tournaments as a Bulldog.
• Greg Gildea led Fresno State in the final round of the USF Invitational, posting a low of 1-under-par 70. It vaulted him into a tie for 19th after finishing the first 36 holes in a tie for 41st. He was 7-over-par at the 54-hole event.
• Justin Avery also tied for 19th at USF Olympic Invitational at 7-over-par.
• Weather at the Ram Masters Invitational on Monday (High 87F, Low 50) is forecasted to have a zero percent chance of rain and 10-15 mph west southwest winds; Tuesday (High 88F, Low 55) is forecasted to have a zero percent chance of rain and 5-10 mph south southeast winds.
