Pech and Moser punch ticket for finals

TUCSON, Ariz. – The Bulldogs sophomore doubles team, Patrik Pech and Jeremy Moser, shine on the second day of the Wildcat Invitational. After defeating Espias and Asmar of New Mexico State (6-2) in the second round as well as Washington State's Stocia and Williams (6-4) in the semifinals, the duo will play in the championship match Sunday morning.
On the second day of the tournament, Pech won his singles match in the consolation bracket after falling to Will Kneale of Arizona on Friday in the singles A Draw. Pech defeated Greg Balenci of Grand Canyon (6-4, 7-6).
Moser who claimed the No. 3 seed in the singles B Draw came up short to Lucas Taylor of Northern Arizona (5-7, 7-5, 6-4) in the round of eight.
Freshman Bailey Gong fell in the semifinals of the singles C Draw to Northern Arizona's Ruben Montano (6-2, 6-1).
Pech and Moser will play in the championship doubles match Sunday morning at 8 a.m. PT.Â
