Wildcat Invitational comes to a close

TUCSON, Ariz. – The Fresno State men's tennis team wrapped up their weekend at Arizona's Wildcat Invitational. Sophomore doubles team, Jeremy Moser and Patrik Pech took second place in the doubles bracket Sunday afternoon.

Moser and Pech had a successful weekend defeating Northern Arizona's Schumann and Montano (6-4) in the first round, went on to defeat Espias and Asmar of New Mexico State in the second round and defeated Washington State's Stocia and Williams in the semifinals. The duo's run ended in the championship match, falling to Goncalves and Flores of New Mexico State (6-3).

Freshman Bailey Gong was the last competitor in the singles brackets for Fresno State, before being knocked out of the consolation bracket by Arizona's Michael Lee in a hard fought three-set battle (4-6, 6-1, 6-2).

The Bulldogs are back on the road Oct. 7 to compete in UC Santa Barabara's Fall Invitational.
