• Fresno State is in first place of the West Division of the Mountain West after improving to 3-0 in league play with a 38-0 win at home vs. New Mexico last time out.
• Fresno State and San Diego State are set to meet for the 57th time on Saturday night on CBS Sports Network, a rivalry dating back to 1924.
• The 2017 edition of the SDSU-FS rivalry will be the seventh time the programs will have squared off for the "Battle for the Old Oil Can" Trophy, given to the winning team. The Aztecs reclaimed the trophy in 2015 after the Bulldogs held it for three-straight seasons.
• Two teams have represented the West Division in the Mountain West Championship since the inaugural game in 2013 - Fresno State and San Diego State.
• Junior Marcus McMaryion is the first quarterback since Dave Telford in 1987 to win his first three starts under center as a Bulldog.
• Alabama is the only team to convert on a fourth-down attempt against the Bulldogs this season - the conversion came on a gain of two yards by Bo Scarbrough on a fourth-and-1.
• Fresno State has forced 11 turnovers over the last four games.
• This is the fourth-straight year CBS Sports Network has aired the FS-SDSU rivalry. Carter Blackburn and Aaron Taylor have been on the call each time while Jenny Dell will be on the sideline for the third-straight time.
• Fresno State's four wins through six games matches the 2015 and 2016 teams' combined win totals.
• Fresno State's two losses this season are from road trips to No. 1 Alabama and then-No. 6 Washington.
• Thirty-four Bulldogs have seen their first game action while at Fresno State this season and 13 players have seen their first-career starts in a Bulldog uniform this season.
