Lee fires 5-under-par 67, tops leaderboard after round two

STOCKTON, Calif. – Fresno State sits in 12th place after round two of the Visit Stockton Pacific Invitational at The Reserve at Spanos Park. Alex Lee continued his stellar play, besting his 4-under-par 68 in the first round with a 5-under-par 67 on Friday. He currently sits atop the individual leaderboard at 9-under-par.
Lee got off to a solid start, going 1-under-par through his first nine holes. The junior took his game to another level on his second nine, tallying four birdies and five pars on the way to a 5-under-par 67, the lowest round of the season by a Bulldog.
Michael Cliff followed his 1-over-par 73 on Thursday with an even-par 72 on Friday. The freshman sits tied for 38th heading into tomorrow's final round.
Fellow freshman Lane Pulliam shot a 4-over-par 76 on Friday, carding a 38 on both nines. Pulliam is currently tied for 64th.
The third freshman in the Fresno State lineup, Kevin Huff, rounds out the Bulldog top four. Huff followed yesterday's 4-over-par 76 with a 6-over-par 78 in round two.
Justin Avery is 11-over-par after two rounds. The senior will look to make a push in tomorrow's final round.
Individual Cameron Delaere carded an even-par 72 after a 3-over-par 75 in round one.
Play at the Visit Stockton Pacific Invitational continues tomorrow morning with the final round. Fresno State players will tee off hole No. 1 every 10 minutes beginning at 8 a.m.
