Â
"Our guys have really been concentrating on trying to be a fundamentally sound team," Fresno State head coach Rodney Terry said. "We have worked really hard on the basic fundamentals to try and do a better job of taking care of the basketball.   We are going to put a team out there that is going to play as hard as they can every game night."
Â
And for the team, there is extra excitement the air with the chance to play in front of the Red Wave after working hard throughout the offseason.
Â
"It is always a boost in the arena when they are excited about us because we are excited about them as well," Hopkins said of the power of the Red Wave. "Hopefully, we can get as many fans as possible to come out and support us because this team is a special group and we can do big things this year."
Â
Later this week, Fresno State will host UC Merced in its final exhibition contest on Friday at 7 p.m. PT.
The Bulldogs tip off the regular season on Nov. 10 at 5 p.m. PT versus UC Santa Cruz.
