The Bulldogs finished eighth at the Bettie Lou Evans Invitational on Saturday, hosted by Kentucky, climbing out of their opening round 13th place to move up five spots over the final two rounds of the tournament.

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Bulldogs finished eighth at the Bettie Lou Evans Invitational on Saturday, hosted by Kentucky, climbing out of their opening round 13th place tie to move up five spots over the final two rounds of the tournament.

Individually, senior Mimi Ho led the way for the 'Dogs finishing in a tie for 15th. Ho shot an even-par 72 second round and went 4-over-par in the final round to finish 6-over-par in the tournament shooting 222 over 54 holes.

Sophomore Hayden Mammen moved up 18 spots after day one to finish in a tie for 28th shooting a second round 10-over-par and then came back to shoot a 4-under-par final round. Mammen finished 11-over for the tournament at 227.

Freshman Emma Larsson tied for 30th after shooting an even-par 72 in the final round to finish the tournament shooting 228.

In her first competition of the season, junior Kelsi Stieler carded a 3-over-par 75 in the second round and a 10-over-par in the final round to finish in a tie for 59th.

Freshman Brigitte Thibault recorded an 2-over-par 74 in the second round and a final round of 84 to finish tied for 70th. Finally, senior Samantha Spencer, in her first competition since the Fresno State Classic last spring, finished tied for 80th.

The Bulldogs are back in action at the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown hosted at the Boulder Creek Golf Club on Oct. 22-24.
