Scouting #24 Colorado State (25-3, 15-1 MW)
• Colorado State, which was ranked No. 19 in the country last week, started MW play 15-0 before a five-set loss at San Jose State last Saturday. CSU had gone 25-1 since losing its season opener.
• The Rams have won 19 matches in three sets while all three of their losses have come in five sets.
• Colorado State clinched the MW title and the league's NCAA Tournament berth on Nov. 4.
• The Rams lead the league in every statistical category other than digs and rank in the top 25 in NCAA Div. I in hitting percentage (6th), blocks per set (14th), and assists per set (25th).
• Paulina Hougaard-Jensen is 3rd in the nation hitting .464 and Katie Oleksak is third in Div. I with 12.05 assists per set. Kristie Hillyer leads the MW in blocks per set and Sanja Cizmic leads in aces.
• The Rams have won eight straight matches and 10 of the last 11 meetings with Fresno State.

• Fresno State never trailed in a dominant 3-0 (25-15, 25-18, 25-23) home sweep of New Mexico last Thursday.
• The match was tied five times but the Lobos never took a lead in any of the three sets. The 'Dogs led for the entirety of the first set while there were just two ties in the second set and three in the third.
• Fresno State put together its first sweep in MW play and third 3-0 win overall this year.

• A starting libero for the first time as a senior, Hutcheson has averaged 3.76 digs per set and 14.33 digs per match in her final collegiate season.Â

• Junior Haile Watson leads all MW players averaging 1.41 blocks per set in conference matches. Overall this season she ranks 26th in NCAA Div. I with 136 total blocks and is 32nd with 1.32 blocks per set. She has recorded at least five blocks in 16 matches this year and her blocks per set average would be the fifth best in a season in program history.
• Watson became the first player in program history to tally 10 blocks in a three-set match, topping the previous record of nine achieved twice, on Sept. 5 vs. CSU Bakersfield. She set a new career-high with 12 blocks at Air Force, tying for the second most blocks in a five-set match in program history.

• Fresno State picked up its second win this season against a 2016 NCAA Tournament Team with a 3-2 victory at UNLV Oct. 12. The Rebels reached the second round of the NCAA Tournament last season with an at-large bid and a win in the opening round.
• The Bulldogs also had a 3-1 win over Alabama State earlier this season, beating a Lady Hornets team that won the SWAC last season to earn an NCAA bid.

• Fresno State changed to a 6-2 lineup the second week of MW play with sophomore Madelyn Halteman and freshman Sydney Lostumo splitting time as setter.
• The two have combined for 9.57 assists per set with 27 service aces in the 13 matches with the formation. Both setters have averaged better than 4.30 assists per set and 0.20 aces per set.

• Junior Brielle Hefner has been a consistent offensive threat all season as she leads the team's outside hitters swinging .238 and is second with 2.59 kills per set.
• Hefner had her best match at San Francisco, recording a career-high 25 kills while hitting .404. She had 13 kills and no errors on her first 26 swings of the match as she more than doubled her previous career high of 12 kills and tied for the most kills by a Bulldog this season.
