Fresno State concludes first round play at Saint Mary’s Invitational

PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. – Fresno State men's golf teed off at the Saint Mary's Invitational, its fifth and final fall tournament, on Monday morning at Poppy Hills Golf Course. The Bulldogs sit in last place after 18 holes, as they will try to make a move up the leaderboard in rounds two and three.
Justin Avery fired a 2-over-par 73, the best individual round for the 'Dogs on Monday. The senior is tied for 33rd place heading into tomorrow's second round.
Michael Cliff shot a 6-over-par 77 in round one. Cliff is second on the Bulldog leaderboard and sits in a tie for 73rd.
Kevin Huff, who is appearing in the Fresno State lineup for the second time this season, carded a 7-over-par 78 in the first round.
Alex Lee shot a 9-over-par 80 and Lane Pulliam posted a 14-over-par 85.
Individual Greg Gildea fired an 8-over-par 79.
