FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno State men's tennis team announced it will host 12 matches of its 23-match 2018 schedule, which is set to begin with a double-header on Jan. 13, head coach Luke Shields announced Wednesday.
"We have the opportunity to play a great schedule this year," Shields said. "The highlight of our non-conference schedule is the Blue Gray Championships in Alabama, it has a great atmosphere and good competition for us. There will be eight teams ranked from 30-60 in the that tournament. We also have a lot of home matches and a lot of matches that will be played in California, so we hope the Red Wave will come out and support this team. I can't wait to get the season started!"
The 'Dogs will kick off the season in front of the Red Wave with a five-game homestand in the Wathen G. Spalding Tennis Center. Fresno State will host Pacific (Jan. 13), UC Davis (Jan. 13), Saint Mary's (Jan. 21), Holy Names (Jan. 27) and Sonoma State (Jan. 27).
Fresno State will go on the road for three non-conference matches in the Golden State, facing No. 37 UCSB (Feb. 3), No. 49 Cal Poly (Feb. 4) and San Diego (Feb. 17).

The 'Dogs will face Pac 12 foe Arizona (March 4) on the road before returning home for three-straight home matches against Santa Clara (March 10), San Francisco (March 17) and Cypress College (March 17).
Taking a quick trip to Oklahoma, Fresno State will face the University of Oklahoma (March 26) and No. 15 Oklahoma State (March 28).
