Fresno State beats George Fox 4-0

PORTLAND, Ore. – The Fresno State men's tennis team defeated George Fox University late Wednesday night 4-0. The Bulldogs improve to 2-2 on the season.
Due to time restrictions on the courts, only 1-4 singles and No. 1 doubles could finish their matches.
Youssef Hassan played at the No. 1 position for the Bulldogs, he defeated George Fox's Spencer Watanabee in three sets (4-6, 6-2, 6-2). This was Hassan's first match at the No. 1 position.
In the No. 2 spot, Henrique Osorio defeated George Fox's Matt Biggi to give the Bulldogs a 2-0 lead (6-2, 6-4).
Jeremy Moser played at the No. 3 position for Fresno State. He defeated Alex Namba 6-0, 6-3.
Patrik Pech played in the No. 4 spot, he defeated George Fox's Ryan Malinowski 6-0, 6-2.
The teams decided to move to doubles after the Bulldogs took a 4-0 lead in singles, clinching the match.
In doubles, Hassan and Osorio defeated Watanabee and Namba 6-4 at the No. 1 doubles.
No. 2 and 3 doubles were left unfinished due to time restrictions.
The Bulldogs will face Oregon on Feb. 9 at 5 p.m. PT followed by a match up against Nebraska on Feb.11 at 10 a.m. PT.
Fresno State will return home Sunday Feb. 12 against UC Santa Barbara at 1 p.m. PT in the Wathen G. Spalding Tennis Center.
