• This is the 8th annual Bandon Dunes Championship hosted by Gonzaga University at the Bandon Dunes Resort.
• The tournament rotates between the resort's four courses each year.
• The Bulldogs have played at the Bandon Dunes Championship once before, in 2013 – that year then-freshman Troix Tonkham won the individual championship, shooting a 6-under-par 210 (70-71-69). As a team, the 'Dogs took second place. The tournament was held on the Old MacDonald course.
• The fourth course at Bandon Dunes pays homage to golf course architect Charles Blair MacDonald.
• The MacDonald course sports three of its four par 3's on the front-nine as well as a 555-yard par 5. The back-nine measures 3,836 yards vs. a 3,057-yard front-nine.
• Through seven events this season, the Bulldogs' best finish is fourth place, at the Saint Mary's Invitational.
• Of the 16 schools in competition March 12-14, five rank in the top 25 and eight rank within the top 100 – according to Golfstat rankings.
• Weather at the Bandon Dunes Championship on Sunday (High 55F, Low 47F) is forecasted to have a 20 percent chance of rain and 5-10 mph winds; Monday (High 58F, Low 51F) is forecasted to have a 90 percent chance of rain and 10-15 winds; Tuesday (High 59F, Low 52F) is forecasted to have a 60 percent chance of rain and 10-15 winds.
