Notes:
• In what is now the sixth-year of the El Macero Classic, Fresno State won the inaugural event in 2012. At that time it was named the Winchester Classic before moving to El Macero in 2014 and being renamed the El Macero Classic.
• Fresno State has participated in this event four out of the five times it has been played.
• Justin Avery enters as the most experienced at the El Macero Classic, having played the event in 2015 and 2016. His top finish is T-27th as a sophomore – his bests in those two events are a single-round 73 and a 54-hole 225, both in 2016.
• Trevor Clayton and Alex Lee both competed at the 2016 edition of the El Macero. Clayton had the team's best finish (T-14) with a 6-over-par 222 (81-69-72) while Lee (T-42) carded a 13-over-par 229.
• There have been four champions in the previous five years at the El Macero Classic; Fresno State took home the first title, followed by Cal State Fullerton in 2013, two consecutive tournaments were won by co-host UC Davis and last year's title went to Texas Tech.
• The 15-team field consists of two top 100 teams. TCU enters the highest ranked, coming in at No. 59.
• Clayton is the Bulldogs' leader for lowest season average during the 2016-17 season, averaging a 72.35 over 26 rounds.
• Alex Lee is No. 2 among season scoring averages in 2016-17, owning a 73.26 average over 27 rounds.
• Clayton, Lee, Avery and Greg Gildea each own at least one top 20 finish during the 2016-17 season.
• Clayton leads the 'Dogs in both number of rounds in the 60's (7) and par or better scores (11) this season.
• Through eight events during the 2016-17 season, the Bulldogs' best finish is fourth place, at the Saint Mary's Invitational (Oct. 24-26).
• Weather at the El Macero on Thursday (High 61F, Low 40F) is forecasted to have a 60 percent chance of rain and 10-20 mph winds; Friday (High 64F, Low 41F) is forecasted to have a 10 percent chance of rain and 5-10 winds.
