'Dogs sweep Falcons 4-0 in MW Championship quarterfinals

Boise, Idaho – The Fresno State men's tennis team started the 2017 Men's Tennis Mountain West Championship Friday afternoon.
#2 Fresno State defeated #7 Air Force 4-1.
'Dogs take the doubles point
Fresno State jumped out to an early lead when it clinched the doubles point.
Euan McIntosh and Patrik Pech defeated their opponents at the No. 1 doubles position 6-3.
Xander Veys and Mantas Bugailiskis secured the doubles point for the Bulldogs when they bested their opponents 7-5 at No. 2 doubles.
Fresno State took a 1-0 lead into singles.
'Dogs dominate in singles
Euan McIntosh extended the 'Dogs lead 2-0 when he defeated his opponent 6-2, 6-1 at the No. 2 position.
Fresno State took a 3-0 lead when Zdenek Derkas defeated his opponent 6-1, 6-1 at the No. 3 spot.
The match was clinched at the No. 1 position, when Xander Veys bested his opponent 6-4, 6-1.
