8/15/2017 11:31:00 AM | Men's Basketball
The Fresno State men’s basketball team will host the Oregon Ducks on Dec. 16. Season tickets are on sale now starting at $149 at www.GoBulldogs.com, the Bulldog Ticket Office or by calling 559-278-DOGS.
FRESNO, Calif. --- The excitement buzzing around the Fresno State men's basketball team will reach a fever pitch as the Bulldogs open the 2017-18 regular season at the Save Mart Center on Nov. 10 to tip off a slate of 17 regular season home games.
Season tickets for all 19 home dates (which includes two home exhibition games) start at $149, while Fresno State alumni who graduated between 2008-17 and Fresno State staff and faculty can purchase mobile season tickets starting at just $79 when buying a Bulldog Pass.
Fresno State's non-conference schedule features a Dec. 16 home game against 2017 Final Four participant Oregon, a Nov. 17 road game at Arkansas and participation in the 2017 Cancun Challenge, which includes two games in Cancun, Mexico, broadcast live on CBS Sports Network.
"Every year, our non-conference schedule is developed to prepare us for conference play," Fresno State head coach Rodney Terry said. "This is another competitive schedule as we play teams from the Pac-12 and SEC, including an Oregon team who was in the Final Four this past April and an Arkansas team who made it to the second round of the NCAA Tournament. There will be no nights off for us as we have great respect for all of our opponents, many of whom are postseason teams."
Fresno State could play as many as 12 regular season games against teams who played in a postseason tournament in 2017, including eight contests versus opponents who competed in either the NCAA Tournament or NIT.
In addition to the two exhibition games, the Bulldogs will welcome UC Santa Cruz (Nov. 10), CSU Northridge (Nov. 13), Montana State (Nov. 26), Weber State (Nov. 30), CSU Bakersfield (Dec. 5), Arkansas-Pine Bluff (Dec. 13), Oregon (Dec. 16) and CSU Monterey Bay (Dec. 18) before opening Mountain West play at home versus Nevada (Dec. 27).
After playing at Arkansas and in the Cancun Challenge before Thanksgiving, Fresno State also travels to play at two Big West schools in early December with Saturday games at Long Beach State (Dec. 2) and Cal Poly (Dec. 9).
Fresno State is one of eight schools in the West to have played in either the NCAA Tournament or NIT in each of the past two seasons.
Bulldogs to wear Fresno State PG1s during the 2017-18 season
Fresno State will also have new playing shoes for the 2017-18 season as the Bulldogs will be outfitted with the Fresno State PG1s, which is the part of former Fresno State star Paul George's signature shoe line. George played at Fresno State from 2008-10 and was drafted No. 10 overall in the 2010 NBA Draft. George, who won a gold medal with Team USA during the 2016 Olympics in Rio, is set to begin his eighth season in the NBA and first with the Oklahoma City Thunder.
