Fresno State hosts Boise State and Utah State in MW opening weekend

FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno State women's soccer team will open up Mountain West play hosting Boise State on Friday, Sept. 22 at 7 p.m. PT and Utah State on Sunday, Sept. 24 at 12 p.m. PT. The Bulldogs take a four-game winning streak into their conference opener. Fresno State has not lost a match this season since Aug. 26.

Friday's game will celebrate Greek Night. Thundersticks will be given to the first 200 fans, there will be a Greek Night tank top toss and a burrito eating contest at halftime. Sunday's game will celebrate Growing Green Day, kids are invited to learn about the Valley's agriculture before the game. Free Fresno State ice cream will be given out and there will be a t-shirt toss at halftime.

Admission and parking to all Fresno State women's soccer matches are free of charge.

Last time – The Broncos defeated the 'Dogs 2-1 on Oct. 9, 2016 in Boise, Idaho. The last time the teams played in Fresno, Calif. was Oct. 4, 2015 when Fresno State defeated Boise State 4-1.

The Aggies defeated the 'Dogs 4-0 on Oct. 7, 2016 in Logan, Utah. The last time the teams played in Fresno, Calif. was Oct. 2, 2015 when Utah State defeated Fresno State 3-2.

SCOUTING THE BRONCOS
Boise State is 5-3-1 this season, 3-0-1 on the road.

SCOUTING THE AGGIES
Utah State is 5-2-1 this season, 3-2 on the road.

Utah State has owned the advantage over its opponents in goals (11-9) and saves (35-31). The Broncos' opponents have recorded more shots (97-90) and corner kicks (44-35).

This season, there are five Aggies have goals, six with assists, eight with points and 18 with shots.

Ashley Cardozo leads Utah State with five goals, three assists, 13 points and 24 shots.

Reviewing last week – The Aggies are coming off a 2-0 week, with winds over Easter Michigan and Oakland.

Utah State defeated Eastern Michigan 2-1 on Sept. 15. Utah State out-shot Eastern Michigan, 17-11, a season-high for the Aggies.

Glaser ranks second in the MW in goals (6), goals per game (0.75) and points (11). She ranks third in points per game (1.86). The sophomore also ranks within the top ten in shots (17).

Delgadillo leads the MW in assists (4) and assists per game (0.57).

Theroux ranks seventh in the MW in saves (28) and ninth in saves per game (3.50).

Nationally speaking - Fresno State is ranked No. 44 in total assists with 16 on the season.

Glaser is ranked No. 26 in goals and No. 27 in goals per game.
