Bulldogs doubles team finishes runner-up at Battle in the Bay Classic

SAN FRANCISCO – The Fresno State doubles team of Juliane Triebe and Emma Wilson finished second at the Battle in the Bay Classic this weekend after being defeated 8-4 on Sunday by the top-seeded team of Angela Kulikov and Rebecca Weissmann of USC.

Triebe also earned her third consecutive straight-set victory of the tournament on Sunday to win the singles consolation bracket. The sophomore topped San Francisco's Hanna Borjeson, 7-5, 6-3 in the final. Triebe moved into the consolation bracket on Friday after dropping her opening match in the singles draw to Kulikov, the No. 4 seed who placed second.
