'Dogs set to compete in ITA Northwest Regionals

FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno State men's tennis team will send four players to compete in the 2018 ITA Northwest Regionals, Oct. 11-15. Mantas Bugailiskis, Angus Bradshaw, Cem Erturk and Cagatay Soke will travel to Seattle, Wash. to compete for the Bulldogs, in singles and doubles.Â
The ITA Regional Championships feature some of the top men's and women's players across the country. Over 8,000 student-athletes from NCAA Division I, II, III, NAIA, Junior and Community Colleges compete across 85 ITA Regional Championships around the country. In Division I, regional doubles champions and regional singles champions and finalists qualify for the season-ending Oracle ITA National Fall Championships in Surprise, Ariz.
There will be 121 singles players and 58 doubles teams in the Northwest Regional. The field features players from California, Eastern Washington, Fresno State, Gonzaga, Oregon, Pepperdine, Portland, Portland State, Sacramento State, San Francisco, Santa Clara, Seattle University, St. Mary's, Stanford, UC Davis and Washington.
All of the Bulldogs' first round matched will be on Thursday, held in the Seattle Tennis Center.
DOUBLES
Bradshaw and Soke will face Chan and Nield of Seattle in the first round at 9 a.m. PT. Bugailiskis and Erturk are scheduled to play Hawk and Lee of Saint Mary's at 9 a.m. PT.
SINGLES
Bugailikis will see Hinojosa of Santa Clara in the first round at 1:00 p.m. PT. Erturk will face Otto of Portland State at 3:30 p.m. PT. Soke is set to play Kontaxis of Stanford at 5:00 p.m. PT. Bradshaw is slated against Yoshida of Portland.
For matches at Seattle Tennis Center, neither a live stream nor live stats are available.
