Fresno State shoots 2-under-par in round two, tied for 12th heading into tomorrow’s final round

LIHUE, Hawai'i – After shooting 9-over-par in round one, Fresno State men's golf bounced back with a 2-under-par 286 in the second round. Even with the 11-shot improvement, the Bulldogs sit in 12th place along with UC Irvine with 18 holes left to play, as 12 out of 20 teams finished with scores under par on Friday.
Alex Lee had a stellar day. The junior was under par on both nines and finished with a 3-under-par 69 in round two. Lee is tied for 20th heading into the final round.
Lane Pulliam put together a solid second round. The freshman carded a team-high five birdies and shot a 1-under-par 71.
Both Michael Cliff and Justin Avery posted four bogeys and three birdies in round two en route to a pair of 1-over-par 73's. Avery is tied for 52nd going into the third round while Cliff is tied for 63rd.
Kevin Huff rounded out the Bulldog lineup with a 3-over-par 74. Huff finished the day with 15 pars, three bogeys and no birdies. He is also tied for 63rd place.
The final round will begin tomorrow morning with a shotgun start at 10 a.m. PT.
