'Dogs Travel to compete in 70th Annual Blue and Gray Tennis Classic

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Fresno State men's tennis team will participate will in the 70th Annual Blue and Gray National Tennis Classic, Feb. 23-24.
"We are thrilled to go back to this prestigious tournament," said head coach Luke Shields. "It's known as one of the best tournaments in college tennis because of the great environment and fan supports."
The top tennis teams in the country have played in the Blue and Gray. Perhaps the most unique feature of the Blue Gray is the southern hospitality it offers. Tennis fans across Montgomery open up their homes and keep the players throughout the tournament.

The field – Fresno State, Alabama, Arizona, Arizona State, Auburn, Boise State, Princeton and Rice round out the field for the men's side of the Tournament.
The draw – Arizona State was selected as the No. 1 seed, No. 2 Alabama, No. 3 Princeton and No. 4 Auburn.
No. 1 Arizona State will play Boise State, No. 2 Alabama will see Rice in the first round and No. 3 Princeton will face Arizona.
Fresno State will face No. 4 Auburn in the first round of the tournament at 10:30 a.m. PT.
The match up – Auburn is 8-3 this season, coming off 4-0 win over Samford. The last time the Bulldogs and the Tigers met was in 2013 when Auburn defeated Fresno State 6-1.

Fresno State is 7-5 this season, coming off a 4-3 loss against San Diego.
Cem Erturk leads the Bulldogs this season with an 8-3 singles record. Freshman Cagatay Soke is close behind with a 7-3 singles record this season.
