Four Bulldogs earn All-MW

Njeri Omawahleh led the team with two all-conference honors during last weekend’s 2018 Mountain West Indoor Track & Field Championships.
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Mountain West announced its women's indoor track and field all-conference team on Monday. Four Fresno State individuals were named All-MW.
The announcement comes after the Mountain West Indoor Track and Field Championships that were held Feb. 22-24 at the Albuquerque Convention Center. The all-conference team consists of the top three finishers in each event and the all-conference relay teams consist of the top three team finishers in each relay.
Njeri Omawahleh led the Bulldogs with two all-conference honors as the senior earned bronze medals in the 200 and 400 meters. She finished the 200 meters in 24.01 and the 400 meters in 55.15.
Morgan Lewis earned her inclusion on the all-conference team after capturing gold in the 60-meter hurdles. The freshman won the race with a time of 8.33, finishing two milliseconds ahead of UNLV's Jasmyne Graham. It was the first MW title in the event for the Bulldogs.
The Bulldogs had two all-conference honorees come from the weight throw in Aisiah Tuiasosopo and Kayla Hopkins as the two seniors finished second and third in the event. Tuiasosopo landed a top mark of 19.41m/63'-8.25" while Hopkins was at 19.05m/62'-6".
