FRESNO, Calif. – Largest average attendance increase from the previous year. That's a list the Fresno State football team made in the 2017 NCAA Football attendance report, released this spring.
Â
Fresno State ranked No. 7 in the Football Bowl Subdivision for the greatest jump in attendance from the previous year, increasing by an average of 5,139 fans per game in 2017.
Â
In each of their six home games, the Bulldogs averaged 30,632 fans last season versus 25,493 in 2016. Looking back through the past few years, it's the highest average since 2014 when Bulldog Stadium averaged 34,876.
Â
When Jeff Tedford was hired, it stirred up the pride that the Valley has always had for Bulldog football, and it showed by the numbers reported from the turnstiles. With a historic turnaround, leading the 2017 'Dogs to a 10-4 season and appearances in the Mountain West title game and Hawai'i Bowl, the 2018 season is poised for even greater heights returning 17 starters for Tedford's sophomore season guiding the Bulldogs.
Â
Fresno State will host its Spring Preview on Saturday (April 14), an event FREE for the Red Wave. During the event, Fresno State Athletics ticket office representatives will be on-hand to answer questions and share the availability of seating option for 2018.
Â
Season tickets start as low as $99; get your seats today and let's make Bulldog Stadium the toughest venue in the Mountain West.
