Tuesday's match will mark the 18th matchup in the history of the series between Fresno State and San Diego State. The Bulldogs hold a one-game lead in the series (9-8) after winning the 2017 matchup 6-1. The 'Dogs have outscored the Aztecs 23-3 since 2014.

Jenny Moinard has led SDSU from the middle of the team's lineup this season. The junior has a team-high 22 wins on the year, and has posted a 16-3 record in dual matches while playing at the No. 3 and 4 positions. Moinard is the only Aztec with more than 15 wins on the year. Moinard and Mia Smith comprise SDSU's top doubles team, owning a 16-8 record. The duo are 11-5 during the dual season at the No. 1 spot.
