Mimi Ho remains in contention for MW title after Tuesday’s second round

RANCHO MIRAGE, Calif. – Mimi Ho continues to be the individual leader for the 'Dogs after two rounds of play at the Mountain West Women's Golf Championship. The senior finished Tuesday's second round tied for sixth place and sits five shots back from the overall leader.
Ho fired a 3-over-par 75 on Tuesday and is now 2-over-par (146) for the tournament. Ho tallied one birdie, four bogeys and 13 pars in the second round. She trails the overall leader Milagros Chaves from San Diego State, who is 3-under-par (141).
The Bulldogs last had an individual win the Mountain West individual title in 2014, and there's been three individual conference winners overall in the 13-year program history.
The team, however, fell out of the chase on Tuesday firing a 21-over-par 309 and fell back to sixth place following Monday's 7-over-par 295 that put the team in second place after one round of play.
Dominika Gradecka carded the Bulldogs' next-best score behind Ho's 75 on Tuesday, a 4-over-par 76. Trailing Gradecka were teammates Samantha Spencer (6-over-par 78), Alison Muirhead (8-over-par 80) and Brigitte Thibault (11-over-par 83).
With 36 holes in the books, Muirhead is tied for 24th, Spencer is tied for 28th and Thibault and Gradecka share 31st.
The final round of the 2018 Mountain West Women's Golf Championship will begin Wednesday morning at 7 a.m. PT. The Bulldogs are slated to tee off in nine minute intervals starting with Gradecka at 7:45 a.m., followed by Thibault (7:54 a.m.), Spencer (8:03 a.m.), Muirhead (8:12 a.m.) and Ho (8:21 a.m.)
