Hopkins places fourth in discus invitational section at Mt. SAC Relays

Fresno State will host the Bulldog Invitational on April 28.
TORRANCE, Calif. – On the final day of competition at the Mt. SAC Relays, Fresno State's Kayla Hopkins competed in the invitational sections of the discus and shot put. Yazmin Torres joined her Bulldog teammate in the discus.
Hopkins placed fourth, landing her top mark of 55.69m/182'-8' on her third attempt of the event. It is the longest throw from the senior in 2017. Torres placed seventh with a top mark of 50.01m/164'-1.
In the shot put, Hopkins finished eighth her best attempt registering 14.54m/47'-8.5".

Next weekend will see Fresno State host the Bulldog Invitational at Veterans Memorial Stadium on April 28.
