• Hayleigh Galvan is on a 17-game hitting streak, matching the longest by a Bulldog since 2008. She leads the MW and is 17th in NCAA Div. I with a .542 on-base percentage this year and is hitting .404.
• The Bulldogs rank in the top-25 in Div. I in hit-by-pitches (2nd-49), double plays (T8th-19), on-base percentage (10th-.416), slugging percentage (22nd-.488), and fielding percentage (23rd-.974).

Scouting Utah State (13-19, 3-6 MW)
• Utah State was picked fourth in the preseason MW coaches' poll after going 33-18 overall last season and tying for third in the MW with at 14-9. The Aggies lost four starters to graduation.
• This season Utah State has had its most success on the road as the Aggies are 6-2 in road games but just 1-6 at home and 6-11 in neutral site games. USU beat Cal State Fullerton and UC Davis and won 2-of-3 games at UNLV but lost home MW series to Boise State and Nevada.
• The Aggies lead the MW with 57 stolen bases and have seven triples but are last in the league with a .937 fielding percentage, having committed 62 errors in 32 games played this season.
• Utah State is hitting .288 as a team as six starters are hitting better than .300 led by a .382 average as well as six home runs and 30 RBIs from Brina Buttacavoli. The pitching staff, which has totaled a 3.94 ERA, is led by Delaney Hull, who is 7-4 with a 2.29 ERA over 79.1 innings.
• Fresno State is 40-14 all-time against Utah State but the Aggies beat the 'Dogs twice in 2017.

15 Outs, 15 Strikeouts, No-Hitter
• Freshman Danielle East threw her first career no-hitter, recording all 15 outs via the strikeout, as Fresno State beat New Mexico, 10-0, in five innings last Saturday afternoon. It is believed to be the first Fresno State no-hitter in which every out was a strikeout.
• New Mexico did not but a ball in play as the only Lobo baserunners came on one walk and one hit batter. East's 15 strikeouts are a new program record for a 5-inning game and were just three shy of the 7-inning program record of 18.
• East became the 22nd pitcher in program history to throw a no-hitter while tallying the 74th no-no all-time.

Galvan-izing the Offense
• Sophomore Hayleigh Galvan enters the Utah State series on a 17-game hitting streak, the longest by a Bulldog since Haley Gilleland had a 17-game hitting streak of her own in 2008.
• Hitting in the clean-up spot, Galvan leads the MW and ranks 17th in NCAA Div. I with a .542 on-base percentage this season while also leading the team in batting average (.404).
• With 36 hits (including five home runs, eight doubles, and a triple), 20 walks, and eight hit-by-pitches Galvan has reached base in more than half of her plate appearances this year.

• Before Danielle East threw a 15-strikeout no-hitter on Saturday she set a career-high with 13 strikeouts against New Mexico in the series opener on Thursday. In two games in the series she totaled 28 strikeouts over 11.2 inning pitched with 28 of her 35 recorded outs (80%) on strikeouts.
• East added four strikeouts in her second win of the season against Stanford on Tuesday and in her last three games the freshman lefty has 43 strikeouts in 24.2 innings, averaging nearly two strikeouts per inning.

• Over its last 21 innings played (starting with the third inning at New Mexico on March 30) Fresno State has outscored its opponents 41-3. The 'Dogs had scored 31 unanswered runs before Stanford scored in the 6th inning.
• Over the last four games (all on the road) the Bulldogs have hit .407 with 4 home runs, six doubles, and 4 triples with a .648 slugging percentage. Fresno State is also 6-for-7 in stolen base attempts during the stretch.

• Fresno State broke the MW single season hit-by-pitch record last Saturday. Bulldog batters were hit six times in the game (one shy of the single game MW record) and have now been hit 49 times this season, topping the previous record of 47 set last year by San Jose State.

• Coach Margie Wright and nine members of the 1998 National Championship team were in attendance on March 24 as Fresno State celebrated the 20th anniversary of the first national championship in school history.
• Fresno State is the only non-Power 5 school that has won a WCWS national title since 1986 and is one of just two non-Power 5 schools to ever win the WCWS since its inception in 1982 (Cal State Fullerton, 1986).
