No. 9 Bulldogs hold annual Red vs. Blue Scrimmage on Saturday
FRESNO, Calif. - The National Collegiate Equestrian Association (NCEA) announced its 2018-19 Preseason Rankings on Wednesday afternoon. The Bulldogs came in ranked ninth in the preseason poll, making the top-10 in the rankings for the fourth consecutive season.
Fresno State kicks off its 2018-19 season with the annual Red vs. Blue Scrimmage on Saturday morning at the Student Horse Center. The first ride is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. Admission and parking to all Fresno State Equestrian events are free of charge.
The Red vs. Blue Scrimmage will give fans the opportunity to see the Bulldogs ride at the Student Horse Center for the only time before the home opener on Nov. 9 and Nov. 10 against No. 8 South Carolina and No. 7 Baylor, respectively.
The Bulldogs will face off in both riding styles, giving the team a chance to ride in competition like style and work with the horses to get them prepared for the home opener.
Fresno State returns 20 riders from last season and looks to add depth to the draw sheet with Hubbard's 14 new additions. Nine newcomers will join the Western division and five will ride with the Hunt Seat.

Western
The Western teams will be led by 12 returners, seniors Katelyn Altenhofel, Alexa Bell, Kara Gustafson, Taeya Harle and Hailey Robison; juniors Paige Barton, Shea Gilson, Julia Kelly, Allison Nordvall and Michelle Patin; and sophomores Alexis Miller and Annemarie Morias.
The Bulldogs welcome redshirt sophomore transfer Nicole Campbell from Oklahoma State and freshmen Hannah Buijs, Brooklyn Moch, Lexee Padrick, Alexis Steele, Kameron Thorn, Madisen Torigiani, Anna Wegenast and Addison Welman.

Hunt Seat
Hunt Seat will welcome back seven returners in seniors Alexandra Dirickson, Alannah Lones, Dani Schneider and Terra Wallace; junior Erica Rosinski and sophomores Hailey Livingston and Frannie Twohig.
Five freshmen in Hana Bieling, Elizabeth Countryman, Aliva Hart, Cecily Hayes and Elizabeth Stodden, will join the Hunt Seat team for the 2018-19 season.

Looking Ahead
The 2018-19 season features 11 meets, five of which will be held at the Student Horse Center. Fresno State will hit the road on Sept. 28 and 29 for the Willis Invitational, hosted by Baylor. The Bulldogs will face Delaware State (Sept.28) and UT-Martin (Sept.29) in Waco, Texas.
