Scouting New Mexico (5-9, 0-2 MW)
• After sweeping both Nevada and San Jose State last week, the Bulldogs have now completed four straight sweeps and six on the season.
• The last time the Bulldogs accomplished this feat came in 2002 when the 'Dogs opened the season with six straight sweeps.
2-0 start to Mountain West play
• For a second straight season, Fresno State has started conference play with a 2-0 start. The 'Dogs started 2018 with a 4-0 mark in MW play.
• Prior to 2018, you have to go back to 2011 to find the last time the 'Dogs started 2-0 in conference play, their final season in the WAC.
First Things First
• Fresno State has won the first set in eight of its first 14 matches of the year.
• The Bulldogs are 7-1 this year when winning the first set but 2-4 when losing it.
Des Delivers
• In her first season with the Bulldogs junior Desiree Sukhov leads the team with 4.10 kills and 4.68 points per set while ranking second with 2.90 digs per set.
• Sukhov's 4.10 kills per set leads the MW and ranks 42nd in NCAA Div. I. She has led the team in kills in 11 of 14 matches this year.Â
• In the five-set win over Santa Clara on Sept. 6, Sukhov tallied 30 kills, tied for the fourth most kills in a match in program history and the most since Korrin Wild had 31 kills in a match in 2012.
Sabbatini breaks out
• After playing in only four sets prior to the Roadrunner Classic, redshirt freshman outside hitter Lauren Sabbatini tallied 26 kills in nine sets going for nine kills against UC Davis and CSU Bakersfield and added eight kills vs. San Francisco at the Roadrunner Classic on Sept. 20-21. She followed up her breakout performance with two more standout performances last week totaling 13 kills against Nevada and added 10 against San Jose State.
Aces Advantage
• Fresno State ranks first in the MW with 1.71 service aces per set while having more aces than its opponent in 10 of 14 matches with a 84-48 edge in aces for the year.
• Madelyn Halteman leads the team with 19 aces while Jocelyn Rodriguez has 15 and Desiree Sukhov has added 13.
• The 'Dogs had a season-high 11 aces in the win over Santa Clara, just two shy of the program five-set match record.
Ms. 3000
• Madelyn Halteman, the longest tenured Bulldog and the lone fifth-year senior on the 2019 roster, became just the fifth player in program history to record 3,000 career assists as she reached the plateau during the second set against CSU Bakersfield on Sept. 5.
• Halteman ranks 4th in program history in career assists and her current total of 3,389 and is 85 shy of third place (Robyn Keune - 3,474).
• Halteman was an All-MW selection last year ranking second in the MW with 9.88 assists per set, and so far this season she is averaging 10.26 assists per set.Â
Digs all Around

• Reagan Leonard leads the way with 4.53 digs per set to rank first in the MW.
• Leonard moved into eighth place in program history at San Jose State in digs and has 1,034.
