- Fresno State will have spent 27 days in between home games when they host UNLV for Friday Fest, Oct. 18. The Bulldogs' last home game was on Sept. 21.
- Friday's game will be the 22nd meeting all-time between the Bulldogs and Rebels.
- Split down the middle: the Bulldogs and Rebels share a 3-3 mark against one another as Mountain West foes.
- The Bulldogs return home after opening Mountain West play last weekend at Air Force. Fresno State has opened conference play on the road five of the last six seasons.
- The Bulldogs are 12-2 at Bulldog Stadium under Jeff Tedford. One of his two losses is to UNLV (Oct. 28, 2017).
- Fresno State entered last year's matchup on the road against UNLV ranked No. 20/23 and won 48-3 to improve to 8-1 (5-0 MW) at the time.
- Last year's win at UNLV was Coach Tedford's 100th career victory.
- Since making his Fresno State debut at New Mexico State and participating in the next game at Air Force, Emoryie Edwards has led the Bulldogs in receiving.
- Despite not forcing a turnover for the first time since Nov. 17, 2018 (vs. San Diego State) in their contest at Air Force, the Bulldogs still rank eighth in the FBS in fumble recoveries per game, averaging 1.2.
- Fresno State has had 34 different players make a start in 2019. Only New Mexico (39), UMass (39), Old Dominion (37), N.C. State (36), Oregon State (36) and Colorado (34) share numbers of that stature.
- OL Bula Schmidt (Fr.) and DE Alex Dumais (RFr.) picked up their first career starts, respectively, as Bulldogs at Air Force. There have been 19 players this season to get their first career starts at Fresno State in 2019.
