- Since Fresno State and Utah State began sharing conference affiliation in the Mountain West in 2013, the two teams have played three times. The Bulldogs won the inaugural Mountain West Championship game against Utah State in 2013 and have dropped their only two regular season meetings (2015-16).
- Fresno State and Boise State share the record for most Mountain West Championship game appearances (4), the Bulldogs are seeking to make it No. 5 and their third-straight appearance in 2019. With one-loss San Diego State and the two-loss Bulldogs, in conference games, and a Nov. 15 game on the horizon, the path to staying on track continues with a win on Saturday versus Utah State. San Diego State hosts Nevada this week.

- True freshman Jalen Cropper was named to the Paul Hornung honor roll (most versatile athlete) on Nov. 4.
- Seven true freshmen have made starts for the Bulldogs, which ranks tied for the second-most true freshmen to of made starts this year. Only Alabama has started more (9).Â
- Fresno State produced a season-high 514 yards offense in its contest at Hawai'i.
- Over the last three games the Bulldogs have averaged 246.0 rushing yards per game (7.0 per rush) and scored 13 rushing touchdowns in that span.
- In each of the last three games, Ronnie Rivers has produced two touchdowns in each game. He is the first Bulldog to accomplish that feat since Ryan Mathews did so in 2009.
- With 18 turnovers gained through eight games, the Bulldogs rank tied for 5th in the FBS in turnovers gained per game with 2.25.
