Mattson named Second Team All-American

NEW ORLEANS – Fresno State senior Jestena Mattson was named a second team All-American for the 2019 NCAA Division I Indoor Track & Field season by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) on Tuesday.
Making Fresno State's first appearance at the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships since 2013, Jestena Mattson placed 13th for the Bulldogs in the pentathlon on Friday at the Birmingham CrossPlex. Entering the championships ranked No. 15 in the event, the senior moved up two spots to finish with 4,032 points.
