FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno State water polo team fell to No. 6 Michigan 17-7 in the Aquatics Center, Friday night. The No. 13 Bulldogs had three players have multi-goal games.
"Michigan is a team that has played in national championships," head coach Natalie Benson said. "Michigan has a very experienced team. I'm excited that our young team had the opportunity to play them three times. They are disciplined, they shoot well and they are physical. It is great practice for our team to play against teams like this before we get into conference play. I'm happy with the adjustments we made from the last time we played Michigan. Our defense was better, our offensive attack was better and we had a better understanding overall. The film on this game will be a great learning tool."Â
