Fresno State improves to 5-3 on the season.

FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno State lacrosse team bounced back after a 15-8 loss to Virginia Tech on Tuesday and defeated Radford on Friday night at the Soccer and Lacrosse Stadium, 15-14.

Fresno State improves to 5-3 on the season. The Bulldogs complete their home stand on Sunday, hosting Quinnipiac in an 11:00 a.m. PT contest.

The 'Dogs had six scorers against the Highlanders and were led by junior Kayla Galet who added five goals.

Galet, Hannah Krats, Kayla Galet, Marina Mayo, Tiffiny Wallace, Ryleigh Bone, Olivia Mannon, Abbigayle Roberts, Jordyn Pandolfo, Angela Saladino, Sydney Skalstad and Kayle Kaesbauer led the charge with Laurel Maunder in the cage.

FIRST HALF
Wallace struck within the first minute of the game to give Fresno State an early 1-0 lead, but the lead was erased 40 seconds later as Radford's Callie Bonnel found the back of the net.

Wallace scored another just 10 seconds following Radford's goal and Pandolfo scored her first on a free position shot to give the Bulldogs a 3-1 lead. The Highlanders added another before Fresno State could score three unanswered goals, the run was sparked and finished by Skalstad.

Galet scored her first goal of the night on an assist from Wallace with 10:16 to go in the first half. The junior would score the next two Bulldogs goals to put Fresno State up, 9-5 with 1:26 to go in the half.

Pandolfo added an insurance goal with just 18 seconds left on the clock to give Fresno State a 10-6 lead at the half.

SECOND HALF
Radford came out firing in the second half, aiming for chances to take the lead. The Highlanders outscored the 'Dogs in the half, 8-5, but their scoring wasn't enough to deflate Fresno State's winning route.

Three of the Bulldogs' five goals in the half were made on converted free position shots from Skalstad and Galet.

Radford finished the game on a 4-0 run but the Bulldog defense guarded hard to keep the Highlanders from scoring the tying goal in the final seconds.
