Bulldogs to honor eight seniors on Saturday vs. UC Davis
FRESNO, Calif. -Â The No. 9 Fresno State equestrian team hosts UC Davis on Saturday for Senior Day at the Student Horse Center. Riding is scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m. PT, with the senior ceremony being held after the conclusion of the first pair of events.Â

Fresno State will honor its eight seniors on Saturday: Katelyn Altenhofel, Alexa Bell, Alexandra Dirickson, Kara Gustafson, Alannah Lones, Allison Nordvall, Dani Schneider and Terra Wallace.Â

Parking and admission to the Student Horse Center are always free of charge.Â

The 'Dogs are fresh off of a second place finish at the 2019 United Equestrian Conference Championships. The No. 3-seeded Bulldogs defeated the second-seeded Delaware State to advance to the finals, but No. 1-seeded SMU showed stronger than the Bulldogs to take its second consecutive UEC title.Â

Prior to championship riding, the conference announced its season awards in the postseason banquet. Four Bulldogs were honored by the UEC.Â

Redshirt sophomore Nicole Campbell was named the UEC Horsemanship Rider of the Year and earned a spot on the All-Conference Horsemanship Team. Campbell has accumulated a 9-4 record, with two wins in her UEC Championship rides. She has also earned four Most Outstanding Performer honors this season.Â

Freshmen Brooklyn Moch (Horsemanship) and Lexee Padrick (Reining) were named UEC Freshman of the Year in their respective events.Â
Â
Moch earns the Horsemanship honor with a 5-3 mark in the event and Padrick takes the Reining with a 5-6-2 record in the Reining.Â

Senior Alexandra Dirickson earned a spot on the All-Conference Equitation on the Flat Team. She leads the team with a 7-5 record in the Flat.Â

Academic Honors
12 equestrian student-athletes were recognized by the United Equestrian Conference for their accomplishments in the classroom.

Junior Paige Barton earned First-Team All-Academic, redshirt junior Erica Rosinski picked up Second-Team honors, senior Kara Gustafson, juniors Shea Gilson and Brooke Nelson, and sophomore Alexis Miller were tabbed Honorable Mention.Â

- The Aggies are in their first year of collegiate Division I competition.
- Fresno State traveled to Davis on March 2 and earned a 12-4 win.Â
