2019 NCAA Division I Women’s Golf Championships selections to be announced Wednesday

FRESNO, Calif. – The 2019 NCAA Division I Women's Golf Championships selection show will take place this Wednesday, April 24 at 2:30 p.m. PT, on Golf Channel's Golf Central and will also be streamed live on the Golf Channel website.
During the unveiling, Fresno State's Brigitte Thibault, winner of the 2019 Mountain West Individual Championship, will be a strong candidate to hear her name called. If selected, she would be the Bulldogs' fifth individual selection for NCAA postseason play in the last six years.
Seventy-two teams and 24 individuals will be selected to compete at one of four regional championships, each featuring 18 teams and six individuals, May 6-8. From regional competition, 24 teams and 12 individuals will advance to the national championships to be played May 17-22 at Blessings Golf Club in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
The four regional sites include Tumble Creek Golf Club in Cle Elum, Washington, hosted by the University of Washington; Jimmie Austin OU Golf Club in Norman, Oklahoma, hosted by the University of Oklahoma; Forest Akers West Golf Course in East Lansing, Michigan, hosted by Michigan State University and Greater Lansing Sports Authority; and Saugahatchee Country Club in Opelika, Alabama, hosted by Auburn University.
This year's women's golf championships will be broadcast for the fifth consecutive year by Golf Channel with more than 100 news and tournament hours planned again for the men's and women's golf championships.
