Fresno State to compete in 2020 ITA Kick-Off Weekend

 TEMPE, Ariz. – The Fresno State men's tennis team has been selected to compete in the 12th annual Intercollegiate Tennis Association Kick-Off Weekend which will take place from Jan. 24-27, 2020 at 15 different venues across the nation. The Bulldogs will travel to Gainesville, Fla. to make their first appearance in the premiere event since 2015.
"We are excited to be back in the ITA Kickoff after five years," head coach Luke Shields said. "We are thrilled to go to Gainesville and play good competition! We get to compete against teams we don't usually play, so it'll be a new experience for our team."
60 teams will travel to 15 host sites to participate. Host sites were selected based on the final 2018-2019 Oracle/ITA Collegiate Tennis Rankings. Each host will welcome three other teams for a single-elimination event and the winners will advance to the National Team Indoors.
No. 70 Fresno State, No. 34 South Florida and No. 76 Temple will be hosted by No. 4 Florida.
The Bulldogs are one of four Mountain West teams selected. No. 58 Utah State, No. 69 New Mexico and No. 74 San Diego State will also compete for a bid to the National Team Indoors.
