Fresno State is coming off a 2-2 double overtime draw against Oregon on Aug. 22.
Robyn McCarthy, who scored the final goal of the 2018 season for the Bulldogs a season ago, scored the first goal of the 2019 season.
Fresno State brought back 16 returners, including its leading scorer Emma Chivers (5). The Bulldogs also returned their assist-leader Ele Avery (3) and minute leader Robyn McCarthy (1,766).
Ele Avery was a 2018 All-Mountain West Second Team selection.
Fresno State added 10 newcomers to its roster. Freshmen Bailee Kern and Milena Zink both made the starting lineup for the Bulldogs' first match.
In goal, Zink and Valentina Vivas split time for Fresno State.
Head Coach Brian Zwaschka, in his 11th season at the helm of the program, is 37-37-11 at home.

Series History ('Dogs vs. Tigers)
The last time the two squads met, the Bulldogs defeated the Tigers 3-0 on Aug. 18, 2017 in Stockton, Calif. Pacific owns the all-time record between the teams 5-9-2, but Fresno State has won the last two matches.

Last season
The Bulldogs finished the 2018 season with an overall record of 6-10-4 (5-3-3 MW). Fresno State recorded its best conference record since 2013, advancing to the postseason tournament for the second consecutive season. The Bulldogs' season ended in the quarterfinals, falling to eventual champion San Jose State, 2-1.

Pacific is 0-3-0 (0-0-0 WCC) this season. Sunday's matchup will be the first road match for the Tigers this season.

Pacific has lost its first three matches of the season, falling to CSU Bakersfield (2-1), Nevada (2-1) and UC Davis (3-0).
Pacific is currently on a 16-game losing streak, extending into to the 2018 season. The Tigers' last win was on Aug. 31, 2018, when they defeated Sacramento State 3-1.
Pacific has been outscored by its opponents 7-2 this season. The Tigers' two goals were scored by Hunter More and Isabella Pariente.
Pacific finished the 2018 season with a 2-16 (0-9 WCC) overall record.
