Meet Notes
- The Bulldogs return 27 riders and welcome nine freshmen to the 2019-20 roster. Of the 36-rider roster, 22 of the riders are underclassmen.
- Fresno State will compete in its first season with the Big 12 this year after making the change from the United Equestrian Conference in May.
- The Bulldogs return a pair of Horsemanship All-Americans in senior Nicole Campbell and sophomore Brooklyn Moch.
- The Bulldogs have won three of their last four season opening competitions.
Scouting the Gamecocks (2018-19: 6-9 Overall)
- South Carolina opens its season against Fresno State on Friday.
- The Gamecocks were ranked No. 7 in the National Collegiate Equestrian Association preseason poll.
- South Carolina only picked up one win in its SEC contests last season, a 10-9 home victory over then-No. 2 Georgia.
- The Gamecocks were the strongest in the Flat, making it to the event national championship, but falling to Auburn after defeating Fresno State, Baylor and Texas A&M in the opening rounds.
- The Gamecocks return two of the four members of the nationally ranked Flat team.
- South Carolina has added nine freshman to its roster.
Last Time
- Then-No. 5 South Carolina last visited Fresno State on Nov. 9, 2018.
- The Gamecocks took a 10-7 win at the Student Horse Center.
- The Bulldogs swept the Western MOP honors as Campbell and Shea Gilson earned them in their events.
- Fresno State tied in the Horsemanship 2-2 and won the Reining 2-1 in that home meet.
Scouting the Vixens (2018-19: 0-7 Overall)
- Sweet Briar College opens its season against Fresno State in a jumper seat only competition on Saturday.
- This is just the third season that the Vixens are competing as an NCEA program.
- Last season, Sweet Briar College was ranked in both Jumper Seat events in the event national championships and advanced to the second round in the Fences after defeating Delaware State in the opening round.
- Sweet Briar made history by competing past the first round of the event national championships for the first time in program history.
- The Vixens return their leading all-time Fences winner in Lily Peterson.

Scouting the Hornets (2018-19: 0-3 overall)
- The University of Lynchburg is primarily a IHSA program, but also competes in the NCEA.
- The Hornets had just three NCEA competitions last season and they dropped all three (vs SMU, South Carolina and TCU).
- In its IHSA competitions, the University of Lynchburg didn't place higher than fifth all last season. Its highest showing was at the University of Virginia IHSA event, finishing fifth out of eight competing teams.
- The Hornets open their NCEA season against Fresno State on Saturday.
