'Dogs add Sanders, building Signing Class to 15

FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno State football team received 14 National Letters of Intent yesterday morning, but as the early signing period goes, it doesn't stop on the first day and neither did the Bulldogs in their search to build on the 2021 team. On Thursday evening head coach Kalen DeBoer announced the addition of cornerback Cale Sanders to the 2021 class.
"We are extremely excited about the addition of Cale to our 2021 class," said DeBoer. "Cale is an explosive player and his film pops when you turn it on. He is a dynamic all-around football player with elite speed and athleticism. His highlights cover all phases of the game ... defense, offense and special teams!"
Prospective student-athletes have an early period to sign, Dec. 16-18, while the second signing period resumes Feb. 3.

NSD Notes
- Fresno State received 14 National Letters of Intent on Wednesday as the 2021 early signing period kicked off. The Bulldogs added No. 15 to the group on Thursday when Cale Sanders joined the fold.
- The Bulldogs signed eight recruits who call California home, including two products from the San Joaquin Valley.
- The 'Dogs signed seven recruits from outside the state. Two from Nevada and Texas, and one each from Washington, Colorado & New Mexico.
- All 15 signed were high school products. There were no Juco players during the early period.
- The early class consisted of 10 from the defensive side of the ball, and five that will play offense.
