Presno tabbed CBN Preseason All-American

TUSCON, Ariz. - Fresno State senior catcher Zach Presno was named a Collegiate Baseball Newspaper Preseason Third Team All-American on Tuesday.
The lone selection from the Mountain West, Presno returns to the Bulldog lineup this spring after earning All-Mountain West honors in the COVID-19 shortened 2020 season while hitting .321 from the plate.
A threat to go deep every time he steps to the pate, Presno smacked eight home runs to lead the MW and tied for third in the nation and enters his fourth season as a Bulldog with 26 career home runs as he sits only four home runs shy of the career top 10.
The Clovis native earned a pair of Mountain West Player of the Week honors and finished in the top 10 in the conference in runs scored (16), RBI (16), slugging percentage (.804), on-base percentage (.441), walks (11) and total bases (45).
The first team All-Americans include Collegiate Baseball's projected 2021 National Player Of The Year in RHP Kumar Rocker of Vanderbilt.Â
Florida, ranked No. 1 in Collegiate Baseball's Fabulous 50 Preseason poll, leads all schools with six preseason All-Americans.Â
