FRESNO, Calif. -- Fresno State's men's tennis is preparing for an unprecedented homestand heading into the rest of the season.Â
The Bulldogs are set to play 11 of their remaining 15 matches at home, along with hosting a tournament in Fresno.Â
"This is our best home schedule that we've had in probably a decade," said Fresno State head coach Luke Shields. "We play 14 matches at home against quality opponents. Over ten opponents are projected top 75 teams. It should make for some exciting and competitive matches here in Fresno. We hope the Red Wave can come out in a big way and give us the energy to come through in these matches."
Fresno State had an 8-2 record when playing at home in the 2018-19 season, which included winning the Mountain West tournament at Spalding G. Wathen Tennis Center.
This season the Bulldogs are slated to take on multiple top-tier opponents, including teams such as Washington, Yale, and No. 23 Arizona.Â
Fresno State's first home match takes place Feb. 15 at 2 p.m. PT. The match kicks off a homestand with eight straight home matches for the Bulldogs.
