2020 GCC PRESEASON POLL
The eight Golden Coast Conference women's water polo head coaches voted Pacific at the head of the conference to win the regular season title. In its third season of competition, Fresno State was picked to finish third. The poll chose Pacific (49 points, 7 first place votes), Loyola Marymount (42 points, 1 first place vote), and Fresno State (38 points) at the top of the conference. San Diego State (31 points) and Azusa Pacific (24 points) were tabbed to finish in the middle of the pack. California Baptist (20 points), Santa Clara (11 points), and Concordia - Irvine (9 points) received the last three spots to conclude the preseason rankings.

OVERVIEW
The Bulldogs return 14 letterwinners including three All-GCC selections in Emily Nicholson, Callie Woodruff and Daphne Guevremont. Six freshmen were also welcomed to the roster for the upcoming season. The 'Dogs were picked to finish third in the Golden Coast Conference standings in the 2020 Preseason Coaches' Poll.

LAST SEASON
In the 2019 season, the Bulldogs completed their second competition season with a 14-15 overall record (4-3 GCC), finishing in fourth place in the regular season conference. The 'Dogs went on to clinch third place in the Golden Coast Conference Championships.

SCOUTING THE CARDINAL

Team Notes:

The Cardinal are No. 1 in the national rankings.
Stanford's offense is averaging 13.28 goals per game.
The Cardinal previously defeated No. 7 Michigan 13-10 and No. 6 California 10-6 to put them at a perfect 7-0 record on the 2020 season.
Junior Sarah Klass leads with 23 goals averaging 3.3 goals per game.
Klass earned her first career MPSF player of the week award on Jan. 28
Emalia Eichelberger has played in the goal for Stanford for the majority this season, recording 10.9 saves per game and a goal against average of 7.7.

Pacific fell to No. 6 Cal to put them at a 2-4 overall record in the 2020 season.
Savannah Fitzgerald leads Pacific with 16 goals averaging 2.66 goals per game.
Samantha Pfaff has played in the goal for Pacific this season, recording a save percentage of .373 and a goal against average of 12.33.

SCOUTING THE AGGIES

The Aggies are No. 14 in the national rankings.
The Aggies offense is averaging 10.45 goals per game.
Last week, the Aggies fell to No. 16 LMU 8-7 to put them at a 6-5 overall record in the 2020 season.
Sophomore Noelle Wijnbelt leads the Aggies with 33 goals averaging 3.0 goals per game.
Sophomore Sophia Noble has played in the goal for UC Davis this season, recording a save percentage of .525 and a goal against average of 16.7.
