QUICK LOOK AT THE 'DOGS - The Bulldogs enter the Fresno State Invite 5-7 (0-0 GCC) on the season and are coming off a 2-1 weekend at the Aggie Classic.

Fresno State is No.11 in the national rankings.
Fresno State has been nationally ranked within the top 15 for five consecutive weeks.
Fresno State is coming off a 2-1 weekend after starting with a narrow 8-6 loss to No. 1 Stanford, followed by victories over Pacific and UC Davis.
Paula Nieto Jasny was named the GCC Player of the Week on Feb. 20 for games played Feb. 10-16.
Fresno State's is averaging 9.6 goals per game.
Nicholson leads the conference and team with 23 goals.
Jasny is ranked fifth in the conference for total saves (65) and first for steals (17).

Ranked Wins
Fresno State has knocked off four ranked teams this season. Then-No. 14 Fresno State knocked off No. 22 Marist College 9-5 on Jan 18. A week later, then-No. 13 Fresno State upset No. 10 UC Davis, 14-13, on Jan. 26. Then-No. 12 Fresno State defeated No.18 UOP and No. 14 UC Davis at the 2020 Aggie Invite, Feb. 15-16.

Well-Balanced Offense
Fresno State has five players with 10+ goals this season in Emily Nicholson (23), Daphne Guevremont (18), Callie Woodruff (15), Cynthia Rosa (12), and Claire Schade (10).

Nicholson leads the Bulldogs on the attack with 23 goals, averaging 1.92 goals per game. Nicholson holds a team-high of six goals vs. FPU and has logged seven multi-goal games this season. She ranks tied for No. 1 in the GCC in total goals.

Guevremont has been a major contributor for Fresno State this season. Guevremont has scored 18 goals, dished 14 assists, swiped 11 steals and logged eight field blocks.

In Goal
Jasny, a freshman, has spent the majority of the minutes in the goal for the Bulldogs this season. Jasny has grabbed 65 saves and has a 9.48 save percentage. Jasny has logged two games with 10+ saves. Jasny ranks No. 5 in the GCC in total saves.

GCC Player of the Week Honors
Jasny earned her first career GCC Player of the Week selection on Feb. 20. Jasny grabbed a career-high 12 saves along with four steals against No. 1 Stanford, Jasny led the Bulldogs to back-to-back wins over No. 18 Pacific, snagging 10 saves, and No. 14 UC Davis, recording nine saves.

2020 GCC Preseason Poll
The eight Golden Coast Conference women's water polo head coaches voted Pacific at the head of the conference to win the regular season title. In its third season of competition, Fresno State was picked to finish third. The poll chose Pacific (49 points, 7 first place votes), Loyola Marymount (42 points, 1 first place vote), and Fresno State (38 points) at the top of the conference. San Diego State (31 points) and Azusa Pacific (24 points) were tabbed to finish in the middle of the pack. California Baptist (20 points), Santa Clara (11 points), and Concordia - Irvine (9 points) received the last three spots to conclude the preseason rankings.

Overview
The Bulldogs return 14 letterwinners including three All-GCC selections in Emily Nicholson, Callie Woodruff and Daphne Guevremont. Six freshmen were also welcomed to the roster for the upcoming season. The 'Dogs were picked to finish third in the Golden Coast Conference standings in the 2020 Preseason Coaches' Poll.

Azusa Pacific Notes:

Azusa Pacific has an overall 2-7 (0-0 GCC) record on the 2020 season.
The Cougars are coming off a 20-3 loss against Hawaii last week.
The Cougar's offense is averaging 8.5 goals per game.
The Cougars return their leading goal scorer Milena Guzmán Ortiz who tallied 48 goals along with 34 steals in the 2019 season.
The Cougars finished fifth in the 2019 GCC Championships.
Fresno State is tied with Azusa Pacific with the all-time record 2-2, after defeating the Cougars 8-6 on April 26, 2019.

Cal Lutheran Notes:

Cal Lutheran will open their season at the Fresno State Invite.
The Regals return their leading scorer Lexi Rond who tallied 57 goals along with 17 steals in the 2019 season.
The Regals finished as the runners-up in the SCIAC Championships in 2019.
Fresno State holds the all-time record against Cal Lutheran 1-0. Fresno State defeated Cal Lutheran 17-5 on February 23, 2019.

Fresno Pacific is 0-8.
Last week, Fresno Pacific fell to Cal State East Bay 13-9.
The Sunbirds return their leading scorer Sam Witt who tabbed 59 goals along with 39 steals and 34 assists in the 2019 season
Fresno Pacific returns their starting goalkeeper Gracie Bishop who grabbed 121 saves in the 2019 season.
The Sunbirds finished as the runners-up in the WWPA Championships in 2019.
The 'Dogs hold the all-time record 3-0, after defeating the Sunbirds 19-6 on Feb. 7, 2020.
