Â
QUICK LOOK - Fresno State has been on the road for three consecutive games, and looks to end its four-game road stint at Oregon on Sunday. The Bulldogs are 2-4 on the year after suffering three losses in this road swing - vs. Marquette (18-17), at Arizona State (20-5) and at No. 14 Denver (20-6).
Â
The Bulldogs continue to be led by sophomore attacker Sydney Skalstad who has scored 21 goals this season, averaging 3.5 goals per game. Kayla Galet (13) and Megan Walaitis (10) are also scoring in double digits through six games.
Â
SCORING SKALSTAD - The story of Skalstad continues into 2020 as she led the team a season ago with 31 goals as a freshman. This year, she is just 10 shy of her total from last season in just half the games played.
Skalstad has scored in each game this year, with a program-record eight goals in Fresno State's win against Stetson (Feb. 22). She had a hat trick or better in the first four games of the 2020 schedule. Skalstad ranks No. 19 in the NCAA in total goals this year, and No. 28 in goals per game.
Â
SKALSTAD IN THE RECORD BOOK - The Pasadena, Md. native inked herself into the Fresno State record book as a freshman, and she continues to build on that success this year.
Â
She has cracked the Top 5 in single game points, goals, shots and draw controls. She is also already finding herself among the best in career numbers at Fresno State as only a sophomore with the program. Skalstad ranks among the best in career goals, shots and draw controls.Â
