FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno State football head coach Jeff Tedford made his final staffing announcement on Wednesday, naming Saga Tuitele as the Bulldogs' offensive line coach. He will also serve as the team's offensive run game coordinator.
Â
Wednesday's announcement finalizes Tedford's full-time staff for the 2022 season. Last week's announcement of the nine other assistant coaches can be found here.
Â
Tuitele joins the Fresno State program after spending the last two seasons as the offensive line coach and run game coordinator at Army. In the two seasons Tuitele spent at Army, the Black Knights accumulated a 18-7 record.
Â
Prior to his time at Army, Tuitele was the offensive line coach and run game coordinator at The University of New Mexico. He had his longest coaching stop not far from Fresno as he was the offensive coordinator and offensive line coach at Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo where he led the Mustang offense to the top of the NCAA FCS charts in terms of points and yards.
Â
Tuitele earned a bachelor's degree in social science from Portland State in 2002. He both played and coached at Portland State in his career.
