Thibault named MW Golfer of the Week

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Fresh off a win at the Rebel Beach Invitational, Fresno State senior Brigitte Thibault was named the Mountain West Women's Golfer of the Week on Thursday.
The announcement marks the third time Thibault has been honored by the conference in her career. During the 2019-20 season, she was the MW Golfer of the Month in Oct., and named the MW Golfer of the Week on Feb. 20. The golfer of the week selection a year ago was also following the same tournament in Las Vegas.
The win for Thibault was the second of her career, with the first being her 2019 Mountain West Conference Individual championship. She shot a 4-under-par 212 (72-70-70) at the Rebel Beach event, which was four strokes better than the next closest competitor, and was the only under-par golfer in a 74-player field. Thibault led the field in Par-5 scoring and recorded a tournament-best 13 birdies.
The Bulldogs return to action as a team next Monday at the Gold Rush Invitational, hosted by Long Beach State.
