Stephenson ranked 59th nationally

After two Top 6 finishes to open the season, Fresno State junior Tommy Stephenson is ranked 59th in the nation in this week’s GolfStat NCAA men’s Division I player rankings.
BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – After two strong showings to open the season, Fresno State junior Tommy Stephenson is ranked 59th nationally in this week's GolfStat NCAA men's Division I player rankings.
Stephenson has opened 2021 with two Top 6 individual finishes, which have included a tie for fourth in the 2021 Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate in Palm Desert and a solo sixth-place finish in the Spring 2021 Nick Watney Invitational in Fresno. Dating back to last season, Stephenson has recorded three consecutive Top 10 finishes.
Along with currently ranking 59th out of more than 1,400 NCAA Division I men's golfers, Stephenson is the second-highest ranking Mountain West student-athlete (minimum two tournament appearances).
The Bulldogs are next scheduled to compete in the 2021 Bandon Dunes Championship, which will be held March 7-9 at Bandon Trails in Bandon, Oregon.
Stephenson is a native of Carlsbad, Calif., and prepped at Carlsbad High School before joining the Bulldogs' program in 2018.
