FRESNO, Calif. -Â The Diamond 'Dogs take on New Mexico at Pete Beiden Field at Bob Bennett Stadium on Saturday and Sunday.

A look at the New Mexico Lobos
The Lobos are 4-6 to start the season with a 3-3 mark in the Mountain West coming off being swept at UNLV after sweeping Air Force at home to start conference play.
New Mexico ranks third in the MW hitting .281 from the plate along with being second in hits (95), home runs (9), runs (49) and are third in batting average (.281) and doubles (14).
On the mound, UNM has a 5.21 ERA as a team with junior right-hander Tristin Lively leading the way with a 0.90 ERA in 20.0 innings while striking out 25 and holding batters to a .164 average from the plate.

Presno named to Buster Posey Award Watch List
Zach Presno has been named to the Buster Posey National Collegiate Catcher of the Year Award Watch List on March 9 as he was one of sixty-nine catchers were nominated for the award by their schools which is given annually to the top division one collegiate catcher. The list will be updated to include other candidates until May 5.

Through seven games, Presno is hitting .259 from the plate with three home runs, one double, five RBI, seven runs scored, a .630 slugging percentage and a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage. Presno is one of two catchers from the Mountain West named to the initial watch list joined by Jarrett Gonzales from New Mexico.
Lucky 13
Fresno State won its 13th consecutive season opener as well as its 13th straight home opener on Feb. 26 with a 13-2 win over CSU Bakersfield. It was the most runs the Bulldogs have scored in a season opener since 1987 when they scored 14 runs in a win over Cal.
